John
Munn had to leave school at age fourteen, although his
Art teacher urged him to go to Art College.
He spent the rest of his life working in the Port of
Grangemouth. Despite this, he built up a collection
of fascinating photographs, each displaying an acute
sense of composition. In and around his hometown, he
took photographs in all seasons. But it was in his precious
summer breaks from work, spent in the Highlands, the
North East and the Borders, that he had the time he
deserved to devote to his art - in summers lang syne.
A selection of his stunning images are published in
this book.
